Mackenzie is the Global Startup Evangelist at AWS. His days are spent traveling the globe to meet startups, share their stories, and connect engineering teams together. Every day there are a large number of startups launching on AWS across every imaginable industry. It’s Mackenzie’s mission to find stories of startups that are helping to improve the world and share these stories with a wide audience.
Prior to joining AWS, Mackenzie was the Head of Technical Operations at Betterment, the world’s largest independent robo-advisor based in NYC which manages over $8B in assets. Mackenzie was a founding engineer and Head of Technical Operations at Oscar Health, an insurance startup also based in NYC, helping to grow the company to over 400+ employees.

Andrew Ng is the Founder of DeepLearning.AI, Managing General Partner at AI Fund, Executive Chairman of LandingAI, Chairman and Co-Founder of Coursera, and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. As a pioneer in machine learning and online education, Dr. Ng has changed countless lives through his work in AI. Over 8 million people have taken an AI class from him. He was the founding lead of the Google Brain team, which helped Google transform into a modern AI company. He served as VP & Chief Scientist at Baidu, where he led a 1,300-person AI team responsible for the company’s AI technology and strategy. He was formerly Director of the Stanford AI Lab, home to 20+ faculty members and research groups. In 2023, he was named to the Time100 AI list of the most influential AI persons in the world. Dr. Ng now focuses his time primarily on providing AI training and on his entrepreneurial ventures, looking for the best ways to accelerate responsible AI adoption globally.
Dr. Ng has authored over 200 papers in AI and related fields, and holds a B.Sc. from CMU, M.Sc. from MIT and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley.
He also serves on Amazon’s board of directors.
Jon Jones is the VP and Global Head of Startups at AWS. Previously, Jon lead the Global Go-To-Market and Specialist Team at AWS, focused on setting up businesses of all sizes to succeed in the cloud. His team’s portfolio covered numerous AWS services including Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Containers, Serverless, Outposts, High Performance Computing, Networking, Autonomous Vehicles, Spot, Quantum Computing, and other AWS services that are strategic to Cloud Computing at Amazon.
Prior to Amazon, Jon built Google’s first U.S.-based startup accelerator as part of the Google Developer Launchpad program, and he is a two-time startup founder himself. Before joining the startup ranks, Jon spent over ten years leading Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Business Development teams for global infrastructure companies.
Jon is passionate about leveraging technology for good. He has spoken about this topic globally, including at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he focused on the importance of getting technology into the hands of entrepreneurs and organizations who can help us solve the world’s biggest challenges. Jon has an MBA from Wharton and is based in Seattle, Washington.

Angela Duckworth is the Rosa Lee and Egbert Chang Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. A 2013 MacArthur Fellow, Duckworth has advised the World Bank, NBA and NFL teams, and Fortune 500 CEOs. Prior to her career in research, Duckworth founded a summer school for underserved children that was profiled as a Harvard Kennedy School case study. She has also been a McKinsey management consultant and a math and science teacher in the public schools of New York City, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.
Duckworth completed her undergraduate degree in Advanced Studies Neurobiology at Harvard, graduating magna cum laude. With the support of a Marshall Scholarship, she completed an MSc with Distinction in Neuroscience from Oxford University. She completed her PhD in Psychology as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Duckworth’s TED talk is among the most-viewed of all time. Her first book, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, is a #1 New York Times best seller.
